Imaginative Play

We want to create a space where no-one can fail

Imaginative play is a way for young people to tell us what they like, giving us ways in to expand our knowledge of their skills. Using simple materials and working in any space that’s available, we take direction from the individual as source material for what happens next. Humour, improvisation and lateral thinking act as catalysts to explore personality, leading us to new ways of working inspired by the young person themselves.

Imaginative play has helped young people design their own curriculums, and found ways to include learners who struggle in school. We work in or alongside teachers finding ways to support young people back to their school community.
